About TAP AZ

History

In 1997 two enterprising nonprofit consultants came to St. Luke’s Charitable Health Trust, now Vitalyst Health Foundation, with an innovative idea: create and support coalitions of small and midsize nonprofits to develop the skills and resources to increase organization capacity to address health and social issues. This was the beginning of the Technical Assistance Partnership (TAPAZ). To gain more detail on TAPAZ’s history, be sure to download and read TAP: Learning Through Networks.

More than two decades later, we continue to iterate and evolve the array of TAP options, while still focused on the same basic goal of providing needed support for early-stage and growing coalitions and nonprofits:

  • Vitalyst offers capacity building resources to community-based leaders, organizations, and coalitions as Technical Assistance Partnership (TAP) Tools. These are streamlined through a TAP Discovery process so partners are referred to the appropriate TAP Tools. To learn about partnering with Vitalyst, click here.
  • One of those TAP Tools is the Technical Assistance Partnership of Arizona (TAPAZ), an affiliate organization to Vitalyst that is focused on various forms of fiscal sponsorship. To learn more, please continue to explore this website and connect with us if you would like to be considered for one of our levels of sponsorship.
